Celestial Send Off

"This is a 9/11 quilt by virtue of circumstance. I had finished piecing the nine blocks two days before the planes hit the Trade Center. I turned on the television as the coverage started and when the second plane hit, I knew that we were at war. Along with the nation, I watched and waited. I also sewed. My thoughts, prayers, and emotions were mapped with ribbon, beads, and thread."
