Flights of Angels

"On one day, wives and mothers, daughters and nieces became angels. On one day, husbands and fathers, nephews and sons became angels. On one day, for no other reason than that they lived and worked in America, these people became angels. They left behind others who loved them. To show respect to them, I quilted many of their names into this piece. The flag billows from darkness to light in a flight of angels."
